At GuidedBookHub, we don't believe in one-size-fits-all book services. Every manuscript arrives with its own DNA β a unique combination of voice, ambition, and rough edges. Our job is to honour that DNA while helping you shape something publishable and powerful.
We started in 2019 with a simple frustration: too many talented writers were getting generic feedback from services that treated every project identically. Our founding team of three editors β each with over a decade in Irish and international publishing β built a diagnostic-first model instead.
"I'd worked with two other editing services before finding GuidedBookHub. The difference was immediate β they didn't just fix my prose, they understood what my book was trying to be."β Maeve Tiernan, debut novelist, Cork
Every engagement begins with a manuscript diagnostic. We read, we assess, and we give you an honest appraisal before any money changes hands. That's the foundation everything else is built on.
We measure success differently. Not by volume processed, but by manuscripts that reach their potential and authors who come back for their next book.
Deep structural work on plot, argument, pacing, and chapter architecture. Best for early-to-mid drafts that need reshaping before line-level polish.
Sentence-level refinement: clarity, flow, grammar, consistency. For manuscripts that are structurally sound but need professional polish.
Query letters, synopses, submission strategy for traditional publishing β or full self-publishing project management including cover, layout, and distribution.
You bring the expertise, story, or vision. We bring the writing craft. Collaborative process from outline through final manuscript.
Ongoing mentorship for writers who want to develop their skills while working on a specific project. Monthly sessions, chapter-by-chapter feedback.
A standalone assessment of your manuscript's strengths, weaknesses, and market positioning. The starting point we recommend for every author.
Not every manuscript needs to be "finished" before you reach out. But these signals suggest you'll get the most value from working with us now:
"I came to GuidedBookHub with a half-finished memoir and no idea if it was any good. Their diagnostic gave me a clear roadmap β and the confidence to keep going."β Declan Forde, memoirist, Galway
Whether you've taken the quiz or simply know what you need, we'd love to hear about your project. Initial consultations are free and typically last 20 minutes.
